FRASSINELLE POLESINE

Frassinelle is a rural village situated on the right bank of the Canalbianco.

Sadly famous for being the place where there were the only victims of the terrible flood of 1951, the small town has its pivot in the main square where the Town Hall of the nineteenth century and the Casa del Popolo in rationalist style overlook; next to the parish churches of the hamlet Chiesa and the capital, there are numerous oratories scattered throughout the municipal territory.

Strongly rooted is in this place, the gastronomic tradition that culminates in two events that attract hundreds of people: the Fish Fair in June and the Fair of San Bartolomeo on August 24.

Among the traditional Polesine dishes proposed, the bondola (a round sausage) is perhaps the most typical for Frassinelle.
