Saint Bellino owes his name to the Saint who rests here in the Basilica dedicated to him.
Today is the patron saint of the Diocese of Hadrian-Rovigo, he lived around year 1100 and worked mainly in Padua where he was its bishop.
He was killed by assassins during a journey that took him to the lands of Polesine and his body was then taken to the then San Martino di Variano, which from that moment became San Bellino. In the centre of the village, housed in a rural monumental complex dating back to the end of the 17th
century, there is an art glassworks, an excellence of Italian artistic craftsmanship.
In the territory there are also many other villas, such as Ca' Moro, dating back to the 18th century.
